Maybe at the first sense, it would seem so unimportant to know or measure the size of the castors that you are using. But then later on, you will also realize that it is an important thing that you should do in case that you are going to repair or replace the castors that helps you in moving your heavy furniture. Find the right replacement by considering the following:
1. Height of the castor wheels- you can measure it by placing a plastic card at the top of the stem nub parallel to the floor. Measure it by putting a ruler between the card and the floor.
2. Find out the stem length that the furniture can receive.
3. Determine the measure of non-threaded castor stem diameters using the wrenches.
4. Also measure the non-threaded stem holes in your furniture with drill bits for you to find the stem diameter.
5. Find the stem measurement by taking the castor with a threaded stems to a home supply center or hardware store.
Be knowledgeable and know the size of the castors you have so that you will be able to replace it in times of damage in a right and perfect way.
